doughboys Franchise Opportunities are now available for single unit, multi-unit & area development in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington D.C.  

Development Fee:
Development Fee is 50% of franchise fee for each restaurant to be developed.

The Local Advertising Fee is equal to 2% of Gross Sales.

Q: What is the total investment?
A: Your total investment should range from about $143,000 to $477,000 per unit depending on type of package and build-out. These figures are an approximation and will be influenced by numerous factors including the size of the restaurant, number of seats, local cost conditions, landlord allowances, deposits, etc.

Q: Who designs and builds my store?
A: doughboys will provide a full set of working plans to your architect of choice. In addition, we will assist with site design and work closely with your architect and General Contractor to design a doughboys restaurant that maximizes seating, enhances ambiance and makes the most of your square footage. Although we do not require you to use our architect, nor our General Contractor, we have established relationships with firms that work with leading restaurant concepts around the country.

Q: Does doughboys offer Area Development Agreements?
A: Yes. In most cases we require Area Development Agreements for a minimum of 3-5 stores in the protected territory.

Q: Can I have exclusive rights to a county, ADI or state?
A: Yes, in some cases. Depending on market availability and your financial resources, Area Development Agreements can be negotiated that provide exclusivity.

Q: What territories are available?
A: doughboys is currently focusing on the Mid-Atlantic region. Please call our Franchise Department to check for availability in your market.

Q: Do I have to have restaurant experience?
A: No. Although a food background is certainly helpful, it is not required. We are looking for franchisees that have a strong business background, a burning desire to grow their business and the financial resources to succeed. doughboys is an ideal expansion vehicle for existing, knowledgeable operators.

Q. How long is the term of a doughboys franchise agreement?
A. The franchise agreement term is ten (10) years, renewable for another ten (10) years.

Q. What type of marketing assistance is available?
A. doughboys will have available for the franchisees a complete Grand Opening and ongoing Local Store Marketing Program. An additional 2% of gross sales less sales tax is pledged by the franchisee to the creative ad fund.

Q. Do I need to be involved in the day-to-day operation of my franchise?
A. At least one owner or a designated manager must be involved on a full-time basis and must be responsible for the day-to-day operations and management.

Q. What does the franchise system include?
A. Owning and operating an assigned doughboys franchise, use of brand name, trademarks, recipes, operational systems and methods, and décor.

Q: What is the next step?

After determining a mutual interest and contingent on your financial qualifications you will be asked to complete our franchise application. We will then forward our UFOC to qualified prospective franchisees.
